What:
Jessica Beatrice Fletcher is everyman.

Murder, She Wrote and Jessica herself, were so completely middle of the road that they transcend it. They become an archetype of something very American in the 80s and early 90s.

I aim to get at that unknowable thing over the course of this blog. By using the final frame of each episode as a starting point into uncharted waters of discussion.

I hope to hear from readers. Please share your thoughts on the cultural and personal importance or lack thereof of the adventures of J. B. Fletcher. If there is something that you'd like to see discussed let me know!
